2021 – The Year the partnership leveled up with AV production

SPL partnered with CSUSA to deliver AV production that transformed their leadership conference into a dynamic, future focused experience that energized and inspired their audience.

Introduction

In 2021, Charter Schools USA reunited its leadership team for a much anticipated in person conference, one designed to reenergize staff, reinforce their mission, and set a confident tone for the future. CSUSA brought in SPL as its AV production partner, trusting us to create a fully immersive experience that captured attention from the moment attendees entered the space.

The Challenge

The vision was progressive: a cinematic general session anchored by a massive LED centerpiece, supported by theatrical lighting and a multiple room program. In addition, CSUSA needed a gala experience and ten fully equipped breakout spaces, all installed, tested, and rehearsed under a tight production window. The challenge was balancing big visual impact with reliable performance across every space.

Our Solution

SPL delivered a bold centerpiece that transformed the main session, a 35×7 LED wall (roughly 65 feet by 12 feet) supported by professional PA, lighting design, and live IMAG. Each breakout space was purpose built for clarity and focus: eight with screen setups for seamless presentations, and two larger rooms outfitted with microphones and PA systems for interactivity. The gala reception featured custom lighting to elevate the celebratory mood. The production spanned two semi-trucks of equipment and an eight person expert crew, who worked closely with CSUSA’s team to bring every detail to life within the compressed timeline.

The Results

The 2021 event marked CSUSA’s confident return to in person programming, and the beginning of a lasting creative partnership! SPL’s design brought clarity, inspiration, and cohesion to every room, aligning perfectly with CSUSA’s standard of excellence.
